Project Overview

This project involved migrating a client’s live eCommerce store from Shopify to WooCommerce, ensuring a seamless transition of product data, categories, and order records using Cart2Cart.

The goal was to recreate the store environment within a fresh WordPress install while preserving store functionality.

Objective

The objective was to:

  • Transfer store data from Shopify to WooCommerce.

  • Maintain data integrity (products, orders, categories).

  • Set up the store with Elementor and WooCommerce.

  • Avoid downtime or loss of historical records.

Solution

We used the Cart2Cart Shopify to WooCommerce plugin to handle product and order migration.

The process included:
  • Setting up a clean WordPress + WooCommerce install.

  • Installing and configuring the required Cart2Cart apps/plugins.

  • Migrating entities via demo migration (products, orders, categories, customers).

  • Verifying product listing and checkout flows post-migration.

  • Minor fixes including homepage URL structure and WooCommerce settings.
